This week was amazing. It started in sunny and hot Phoenix at the STEM+C Workshop that AAPT was helping to put on. I was going to not only learn about the new coding language and how the program can be used in the classroom, but I was also serving as a representative for AAPT.

One the first day of this internship, Brad told me that he and I are going to be the ones to organize Astronomy on the Mall and let me just say that I was beyond excited!

With 4 weeks now in the book,

I hope this opening line is a good hook.

To start my little tale,

I’ll tell you that I recently acquired some mail.

Sent by my mother, named Kay,

As I opened her gifts, I shouted “No way!”

This was an odd week for me. I had to travel home Tuesday night for my younger sister's high school graduation. Then after graduation, I took a 2 AM bus back to DC, from my home in Philadelphia. I got back just before 5 am on Thursday, which means I got back before the metro started running.

The time has flown by so fast! I am entering the fourth week of being in DC and can’t believe I’m almost halfway done with my internship! Like always, I have had lots to do and still have so much more to explore.
