This week I had such a blast! OSA has free full body workout classes on Mondays and Wednesdays, so I have been getting over my laziness and working out for once! The instructor is great and I love the people around me, but my legs were sore for 3 days!
The funk I was feeling at the end of last week is gone. It just took some weekend R&R. I think it also helps that I’ve learned a lot about what makes me most productive in the office at this point. I like having the extra light on in my cubicle. I have my CUWiP ball to fidget with.
Two years ago I attended the APS Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics (CUWiP). A data scientist gave a fantastic plenary talk about her path from earning a PhD in Astrophysics to working in the tech industry.
They say not to judge a book by its cover. But what about a pizza by its cheese or a silicon chip by its top layer? This week was full of things hidden (but still important!) underneath the surface.
