Week 3 has gone by a little too quick. I am starting to worry that time is going to fly by. However it makes sense since this week has been very productive. My mentor is out of the country for the next two weeks so I have been working on getting him the results he asked for and more.

I had an odd week this week. Last Friday I left DC to go to Ireland for a family vacation. I joined my family on the back half of this 10 day trip to celebrate my grandparents 50th anniversary. I arrived in Dublin at 5:30 in the morning very tired (I cannot sleep on planes!).

When I wrote last week about watching fireflies flicker in Lafayette Park, I thought I was having a special experience. I was mistaken. Fireflies are all over the place in this city.

First I started seeing them in other parks, and I thought, “Wow! That’s really cool.”

The third week of the program is coming to an end, and right now I feel as if we are in that stage where it still seems like we just started yesterday. This, unfortunately, is not the case. Just last night, everyone I spoke with shared my perception of how quickly the time had been passing.

So I think I can confidently say, I will not be a YouTuber in the near future.  Video editing is tough stuff! It took me so long just to figure out how to fade the music volume before the talking begins.

I want to start with a shout-out to Elon. She is such an incredible person, and I’m so happy to be cubicle-mates and roommates with her.

The title of this blog has become the catch phrase for anything we interns do as a group.

It is Friday morning and I have stared at my computer screen trying to plan what to write for 20 minutes. Last night was the boat cruise, and needless to say, I am exhausted. This week has been very exciting and filled with marvelous things, but very tiring.
