The past ten weeks have flown by, and now it's time to start preparing for our final presentations. Many summer internship programs require a final presentation and the specifics (oral or poster, duration, etc.) vary based on the exact position.
The single downside of living in Foggy Bottom and working in College Park is the fifty-five minute daily commute by Metro. While, thankfully, the train isn't quite as crowded on my side of the tracks, fifty-five minutes is still a substantial chunk of a 24 hour day.
After dinner at the Hamilton to celebrate my 23rd birthday, we decided (on a late-night whim, of course) to see a midnight showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Seeing Rocky Horror in a theater is quite an experience.
This past weekend, The Optical Society (OSA) invited the SPS interns to celebrate pride month at their offices. After mingling with OSA's staff on the patio, we relocated to the street to watch the parade.
