Rosa Wallace grew up poised squarely between the artistic and scientific communities in Raleigh, North Carolina, and after an arts degree and over a decade working in performing arts and education, she returned to school in 2014 to pursue a bachelor's degree in physics. Having previously taught students from South Korea to urban Denver, Rosa now focuses on tutoring and grading for the University of Colorado at Denver, while staying involved with the school's chapter of the Society of Physics Students. She recently participated in the American Physical Society's Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics, and is currently assisting in research on the variability of active galactic nuclei. Her interests include astrophysics, diversity and inclusion, and creating a strong line of communication between the scientific community and the general public.
