As a high school student, I worked to become president of my school's radio astronomy team as well as captain of programming and wiring on our FIRST robotics team. For three years, I conducted research in the Mars Exploration Student Data Teams program and once competed with that research in the Science and Engineering Fair of Metro Detroit. At present, I am an undergraduate student in my sophomore year studying applied physics. I am vice president of my university's physics club, where I organize events and help to conduct weekly meetings. In addition, I am copy editor of the university newspaper and vice president of programming and education in my sorority. Because of my involvement in various extracurricular activities over the years, I feel I have fostered communication, organization, and collaboration skills. In terms of professional experience, I take part in a cooperative education program through which I work as an intern in an automotive testing lab, where I've had the opportunity to further sharpen those skills.
