Introduction

Hey Guys,

My name is Barbara Dunlap.  I go to Allegheny College, it's a liberal arts college basically in the middle of nowhere Western Pennsylvania.  I am going to be a senior next year, physic major and music history minor.  Last summer I did research on liquid crystals in optical fields with my advisor and went to Budapest Hungary for 3 weeks to do more research with liquid crystals in magnetic fields. This summer I am working at NIST, doing research with circuits.

When I am not doing physics, I play percussion in band, watch movies (bad 80's movies are my favorite), and read, but only Science Fiction or fantasy.  I am also scuba certified and learned how to brew beer for school credit.

I look forward to meeting all of you this summer.

—Barbara
