This week has had its ups and downs, and when I say "downs" I really mean just a minor inconvenience with my project at NASA. After trying to model niobium-coated microstrips on a silicon substrate, we were consistently finding that COMSOL was not producing the expected results time after time.
Oh, how the weeks have just gone by so quickly! SPS has really done a great job with coordinating the internship to where we are constantly on the run and surrounded with people that make the time fly by.
This week was a little far from average for me. I didn't discover the graviton (yet) nor did I figure out what happened before the big bang. Instead, I decided to shave my head for breast cancer awareness in honor of my stepmother who was recently diagnosed.
The third week of the program is coming to an end, and right now I feel as if we are in that stage where it still seems like we just started yesterday. This, unfortunately, is not the case. Just last night, everyone I spoke with shared my perception of how quickly the time had been passing.
This week has been the first real week for me in terms of doing my work and getting settled in. I have expectations I must meet at NASA every day and I have created a daily schedule/routine that works for me; finding time to meal prep, commute, study, go to the gym, etc.
