People often say that it is easy to get wrapped up in life events and forget to take a moment to reflect. I can certainly agree! The end of summer brought an end to the SPS internship and a whole new set of things to tackle (like moving into a new house and the start of another term of classes).
This weekend included another trip up to Philadelphia to see some friends. On Saturday I was able to the Trainwreck movie. It was great and really funny! I highly recommend going to see it! Then on Sunday I was able to relax and go out for a great breakfast with Hendrik.
This was one of the most exciting weeks I have had so far this summer! I felt as though I was able to experience many different things and I loved it. The weekend started off with a trip to Mount Vernon with Veronica.
I know that I mentioned this last week, but I cannot believe that I only have one more month in DC. This internship has really gone by so quickly and I will soon be leaving DC (although I will be happy to leave the humidity behind because it is the absolute worst thing about DC).
As I sit down to write this post, I realize that the summer is halfway over. This is very sad but if I do as much during the last half of the summer as I have the first half, then I am sure that I will be pretty busy.
My third weekend in DC was filled with some much needed relaxation and sleep. Friday night was fairly uneventful. Some of the other interns living in my apartment decided to stay in and watch movies. The next morning was unfortunately and early morning.
