Inaugural Inductees’ Insights Sharing
Project description
Florida Polytechnic University’s Inaugural Induction of Sigma Pi Sigma Chapter 589 was held on last Spring semester, May 5, 2022. Dr. Andrew Zeidell, Assistant Director of Sigma Pi Sigma, SPS National Office inducted our inaugural chapter and presented his invited guest talk at this event. Five Faculty and 10 SPS members from our new Engineering Physics department have been inducted. This charged with enthusiasm, all 10 student inductees and 1 faculty attended and presented 7 research/arts posters at the 2022 Physics Congress in Washington DC. This project will be focused primarily these 10 inaugural inductees will share their experiences and insights with our new cohorts who will be inducted in our second Sigma Pi Sigma Induction ceremony that we are planning for Spring 2023. The amount is requested for covering cost of Sigma Pi Sigma, Chapter 589 T-Shirts, Honorarium for guest speaker and food/snacks for the day of our upcoming induction event.
