The week begins with the rush of the first full set of data. After a couple of weeks of dancing in between the apparatus and catching up on the endless list of papers, it happened. A homogenous-looking membrane, a set of optical microscopy figures, and a simple Renishaw spectrum (Raman) made my first group presentation more entertaining.

Entertaining is the word I will use to describe myself playing competitive soccer after too many years. Disregarding my clumsiness, the feeling of trapping a ball with my chest, the sway moves to get by players and the explosion of joy from scoring a goal, made me realize how much I've missed it.

The week has also involved a lot of new experiences. And by experiences, I mean new food.  A sweet walk around Thomas Sweets in Georgetown, the delightful dinner cruise, and the Truckeroo topped with smooth Jazz at The Yards gave me a new taste of D.C.

Therefore another week went by, in between many Deja Vus and creating new memories, D.C has excel again to provide a food and art lover can only dream off.
