2005 SOCK: Fiber Optics & Light

2005 SOCKThe theme of the 2005 SOCK was The World Year of Physics, an international commemoration of Einstein’s extensive contributions to the study of physics. Integrated with demonstration suggestions from previous SOCKs, this year’s User Guide also provides a superb experiment designed to measure the speed of light using a microwave. And, back by popular demand, are experiments measuring ‘bounce-ability’ and dropping/landing results.

2005 SOCK includes:

  • Fiber Star Sparkle Wand
  • Rainbow Glasses
  • Fiber Optic Cables
  • Grape Jell-O
  • LED Keychains
  • SPS-LED pen
  • Handheld Laser
  • Mini-Flashlight
  • Happy/Unhappy Balls
  • Wooden Shapes
  • Marble
  • Golfball
  • Ping-Pong Ball
