2003 SOCK: Spanning Space

To celebrate the NASA’s Mars Pathfinder Lander, the 2003 SOCK theme was Spanning Space. Sample lessons plans aided SPS Chapters in their community outreach and guided them through a stellar Star Unit. And for the first time, the SOCK offered an SPS Chapter experiment that requested the collection of data to be returned to SPS headquarters. This unique collaboration strategy involved a dropping and landing experiment which combined results from other SPS Chapter SOCK users. Also presented in the SOCK are discussion suggestions of light that incorporate materials offered in previous SOCKs.
