Volunteer for PHYSICS DAY!
May 2, 2014
Each spring, thousands of high school physics students descend on Six Flags America in Bowie, MD and its gut-wrenching, free-falling, thrilling rides—and physics enthusiasts from across the Mid-Atlantic region are there to welcome them!
Consider volunteering for this fun event —details will be posted here as the 2014 event is planned. Volunteers will run accelerometer stations near popular rides, show off physics demonstrations, and talk to students about what it’s like to study physics. And yes, volunteers will also have plenty of time to play
9:00AM - 2:30 PM Friday, May 2, 2014. Volunteers can stay and play until 6:00 PM!
There is no cost for this event, but volunteers must be registered in advance. For questions or more information, contact the SPS National Office.
