Top of the day, everyone!
My name is Kristen Greenholt and I'm finishing up my third year at the University of Richmond, Virginia. I am a double major in Political Science and Physics, with minor concentrations in Russian and Mathematics-- also known as thoroughly insane! I hope to use those widely varied studies as the essential background for a career in science policy, hopefully with an international flavor. I’ve spent the past two summers doing computer-based data analysis and simulation of the regions of efficient fiducial cuts on electron and proton data. I’m looking forward to the opportunity this summer to expand my experience to include policy as well as pure research.
I’m currently studying abroad in London for a semester, so I’m pretty sure I’m going to be the one to bring the M&M’s to orientation! I love traveling and exploring, and I am also known to ramble in various foreign languages, so Europe is quite the prime location for me! I will arrive back in the states right before orientation, so please forgive me if I'm a bit jet-lagged!
At the University of Richmond, I'm very involved with Intervarsity (IVCF), my campus SPS chapter, the international community, and the university choir. I also am a TA for intro Physics, and Calculus. In my spare time, I love to play soccer, go running, hiking, or camping, do a little baking, or just hang out with friends.
I’m really looking forward to meeting you and working with you this summer! Good luck with the rest of the semester!
