Big Top Physics: Hall B, Booth #1527
Come one come all to the greatest physics show on earth! How do all those clowns fit in one car? What makes carnival music so distinctive? Come into our circus and find out! Barnum and Bailey have nothing on us.
During April 27-29, 2012, the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC will turn into a huge science celebration, complete with more than 1,500 free, hands-on activities and over 50 stage shows featuring science celebrities, magicians, jugglers, rappers and more.
SPS has joined forces with five other physics organizations to create a one-of-a-kind physics circus for the festival! "Big Top Physics" is a joint project between SPS, the American Physical Society, the American Association of Physics Teachers, the Acoustical Society of America, the Optical Society of America, and the University of Maryland's MRSEC program.
Note: If you're outside the Washington, DC area, check out other upcoming science festivals here.
