The 2008 SPS Zone 10 Meeting was held at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA, on March 7th and 8th.

On Friday, we presented a Distinguished alumnus award to Billy Bonner, a physics graduate from Louisiana Tech University many years ago. Also on Friday, Dr. Ransom Stephens gave a talk on what one could do as a physics graduate.

On Saturday student talks were given by various zone meeting attendees as well as a Louisiana Tech faculty member, Dr. Wilson of the Electrical Engineering department, who gave a talk on the nature of his research. After that, tours were given of the IfM, the Institute of Micromanufacturing located in Louisiana Tech University's campus.

After the tours, the meeting was moved to the Lincoln Parish Park just a couple miles north of Ruston where we had a catfish fry and conducted chapter business, as well as participated in a school-by-school contest to see who could construct the best rubber-band powered airplane built of balsa wood and tissue paper. Following the contest, the meeting was adjourned.
