Physics groups all over the world, including SPS, Sigma Pi Sigma and APS, are celebrating 2005 as the World Year of Physics, with a theme of 'Einstein in the 21st Century'. One might ask, "Why 2005, why Einstein?" The SPS Zone 8 meeting, held Friday, November 12, 2004, sought to answer these questions. Attendees saw, heard, and participated in activities that helped make Einstein's legacy, relativity, and the World Year of Physics seem less mysterious.

Winners in the poster were: 1st Prize, Nicholas Cook and Lee Ricketson from North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics; and 2nd prize to Peter Blair from Duke University.
