 Ann Deml is a senior majoring in physics and chemistry at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. She will be graduating in May 2008 and beginning work toward a Ph.D. in condensed matter physics with the intent of pursuing a career in experimental research.
Beyond participating as an active member of her local chapter, Ann was also a 2006 SPS Summer Intern and worked with the physics outreach website called PhysicsToGo.com. During the 2007 summer, she held an NSF-funded Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) position at Montana State University and worked in the area of high-temperature superconductors. Ann is an active and energetic individual and enjoys socializing, eating, and outdoor recreation.
